We are looking for a Frontend Developer 🚀

“Vedliai” is developing a digital learning platform that helps teachers bring technological literacy, creative programming, artificial intelligence, and other 21st-century skills into their classrooms. It also empowers students to learn through hands-on, interactive “Vedliai” exercises that encourage independence and creativity.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer to take full ownership of the frontend — from architecture decisions to implementation. We value independence, the ability to plan your own work, choose the right tools for the job, and deliver quality results.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve the UI and user experience of the Vedliai platform

• Take ownership of technical frontend decisions — from architecture to implementation details

• Promote best practices and contribute to maintaining quality across the codebase

• Act as a "frontend lead" in the team — helping to grow and shape the frontend side of the product

Current stack:

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Material UI

• Backend: Ruby on Rails (GraphQL API)

• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines (CI/CD)

• Other: Vite, Figma (design), Notion (product specs)

What we expect:

• Experience working with React and JS/TS

• Strong CSS/HTML skills

• A curiosity for learning and improving together with the team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

• Experience with ProseMirror — a big plus

• Knowledge of Ruby or any other backend language is a plus

• Salary €4000 - 5500/month gross (depending on experience)
